As the summer winds down and the air begins to carry that first hint of autumn, the TCCH family came together for an evening filled with fun and laughter. Our End of Summer Team Party, held on Thursday August 29, 2024, was not just another social gathering, it was a vital moment of connection, a chance to de-stress, and an opportunity to refuel as we prepare for the busy concert season ahead. The Event, held at the chic T-Squared Social in New York, was a celebration of the bond we share as a team and a reminder of the importance of community as we gear up for our upcoming performances, including our much-anticipated Event in September and a significant event in Jamaica this November.
The Venue: T-Squared Social – Where Style Meets Comfort
I must talk a little about the venue. Located in the heart of New York City, T-Squared Social proved to be the perfect venue for our End of Summer Team Party. Known for its sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, T-Squared Social combines stylish interiors with an inviting, comfortable ambiance, that created an environment where we could all truly unwind. Whether we were gathered around the plush sofas, enjoying a game on one of the venue's many big screens, or sampling the delightful menu, the setting added an extra layer of joy to the evening. Big to Tony Capobianco our team secretary, ensuring that every detail was perfect.
Our evening began with a welcome address by Rodari Simpson, the founder and director of TCCH, who reminded us of the journey we’ve shared and the exciting times ahead. Although not all our members could join us, those who were present made the most of the evening, creating memories that will surely linger as we move into the new season.
Upcoming Concerts: The Start of a Busy Season
As we enjoyed our time together at T-Squared Social, the conversation naturally turned to our upcoming events. The season ahead is packed with performances that will not only showcase our talent but also support our mission of using classical music to serve and uplift communities. The first major event on our calendar is the “Peace through Harmony” concert, scheduled for September 22, 2024, at Mt. Morris Ascension Presbyterian Church in New York. This concert is particularly significant as it’s a collaboration with Three on 3 Music and will benefit the church’s Saturday Music School, along with TCCH’s philanthropic efforts. This Event in September is more than just a concert, it’s an embodiment of our commitment to promoting peace and harmony through the power of music. It’s also an opportunity for our supporters to witness the collective talent of TCCH as we perform a repertoire of sacred works that promise to resonate deeply with the audience.
Looking further ahead, we’re also excited about our upcoming workshop and concert series in Jamaica this November. This event in Jamaica will be a pivotal moment for TCCH as we continue our mission to use music as a force for good. The workshops will focus on training young, aspiring musicians, and the concerts will help raise funds for our ongoing charitable projects in the Caribbean. These events are a testament to our belief that music has the power to transform lives, and we are honored to be part of this journey.
Celebrating Individual Achievements
While TCCH is a team effort, it’s also important to acknowledge the individual accomplishments of our members. Many of our singers have had the privilege of performing on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, and this season is no exception. From solo recitals at Carnegie Hall to featured performances at the Metropolitan Opera, our members continue to make significant strides in their careers. These individual successes not only bring pride to TCCH but also contribute to our collective mission. Every performance, whether solo or as part of the group, is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and passion that each member brings to the table. As we head into a new season, we look forward to seeing our members continue to shine, both on their own and as part of the TCCH ensemble.
The Power of Community: Fun, Family, and Laughter
The End of Summer Team Party was more than just a gathering, it was a celebration of the community we’ve built within TCCH. As a family-oriented group, we believe that the strength of our bond directly impacts the quality of our performances and our ability to fulfill our mission. The laughter shared, the stories told, and the moments of connection experienced during the evening were all reminders of why we do what we do. As we prepare for our Event in September and our event in Jamaica, we carry with us the warmth and camaraderie of this evening. These moments of fun and family remind us that while our work is important, it’s the relationships we build along the way that truly matter. We are not just a group of singers, we are a family dedicated to using our talents to make a difference in the world.
Conclusion: A Family Committed to the Mission
As the evening drew to a close, we left T-Squared Social not just with full hearts but with a renewed sense of purpose. The End of Summer Team Party was a reminder of the importance of coming together, celebrating our achievements, and looking forward to the future. As a family-oriented group, we believe in the power of community, and we are committed to the mission of TCCH.
Our upcoming events, including the Peace through Harmony concert in September and our November event in Jamaica, are opportunities for us to continue using music to bring about positive change. We invite our supporters to join us on this journey, whether by attending our concerts, following our progress on social media, or making a donation. Together, we can continue to make a difference, one note at a time.
